"Oringal Defective, Replacement Defective"
Pros: The price, the price, the price
Cons: inability to get a properly functioning one, customer service, tech support, dell policy
Summary: If you get this thing and it works good bless ya. I paid *$426* for it. Caught it on sale, had a coupon code - awesome. Then I got a defective one. Dell kept telling me it was my system that was the problem and it took tons of testing over a few weeks to convince them otherwise. They sent me a replacement. It was defective too. I hooked this thing to different computers and even a bunch of DVD players. Rows of dull horizontal lines that could only really be seen on low saturation colors showed on the left 3" of the screen top to bottom.
I emailed the Dell technician that I had been working with and got no response. At this point I was upset with Dell's product and service so I tried to return both, but was promptly denied because it had been more that 21 days since my oringal purchase even though the second monitor had only been in my possession for 2 DAYS! Dell's customer service tried to essentially trap me in a relationship with their company. I battled with them, invested hours on the phone and sent out many emails, and eventually I got a call for corporate and got my way.
With Dell its hit or miss - feeling lucky?
