Pros When they work, they are great. The 1600X1200 resolution is perfect for doing design and just about any other thing you want to do on a computer. They are very easy to adjust and I was even able to setup one vertically with my dual monitor system.
Cons After 4.5 years of use, they stop displaying certain colors like light yellow, gray, and certain blues, which is HIGHLY important for Graphic/Web Designers. After that they start blinking and going crazy to the point that they are completely useless.
Summary Due to my experience with 3 of these monitors, I will never purchase a ViewSonic monitor. These were purchased by my employer, and so they won't be buying anymore of them either. They were a great product for the first couple of years, but when I/we buy something I/we expect it to last.
Thanks for reading.
Pros Nice looking, good colors.
Cons Just quit working for no good reason. Took 2 weeks of prodding to get a replacement sent.
Summary To Viewsonic: I won't be one your repeat customers.Updated
I'm sure Viewsonic knew this line had this kind of problem when they shipped, yet they released these lemons anyway.
Pros Amazing when it worked (I gave it 8/10 in an earlier review).
Cons Died in 6 months. Awful customer service.
Summary The monitor was amazing when it worked, but all of a sudden it simply died. Wrote to tech services and they promptly replied that it shouldn't have died so soon and to email them back with my serial number, etc.
Since doing that FIVE TIMES I still haven't heard back from them - what a nightmare.
It kinda irks me that a monitor would die in less than a year and how they would not be bending over backwards to resolve the issue.
Stay away. The DELL Ultrasharps are cheaper and have a faster refresh rate. I think I'm just going to take a pretty expensive hit and buy a new monitor. What a shame.
"Very nice monitor"on by rafe
Pros Sharp & bright
Cons New Dell flatscreens are a better deal
Summary I love this monitor. It's big, clear, and looks good on my desk. Now that I've had it for a while and the price has gone down on this model, I might even get another for a monster two-monitor setup.
The Dell 24" widescreen (2405FP) seems like the thing to get today, though.
Pros size, picture, quality, usb 2.0 hub, multiple imputs
Cons fast moveing images tent to blur a bit
Summary This is an amazing monitor I love my vp201b the only thing is when its not on for a bit fast moveing things blur or the moitor delivers a slower moveing image but thats really hard to tell, over all this is a neer perfect monitor and worth every penny if u ask me and I need the best so u know its goodUpdated
I absolutly love my monitor I've never had amy problems or anything until today I tried useing a second computer through vga and I can't get to the analog signal now if your never gonna use vga this monitor is fine otherwise you might want to go with something different.
