"Great Price - OK Performance." on by huanbei
Pros: Excellent Price
Cons: UN-adjustble stand, noisy, software
Summary: Got this monitor for $249 in officemax. This LCD's stand is just stupid, you can't adjust the height. Color is good, but text are not sharp at all - I think is the software, because the on screen control stuff are fine.. I'm still figuring out how to get this thing less blury. Don't bother with the build in speaker. There is NOise comign out this thing, clear noise.
This did not pass any TCO standard.
Well overall i think this LCD is good for the price, and there isn't any major problems. -
"Excellent Display, you will love it." on by bentov
Pros: Brightness, quality of color, and contrast.
Cons: No height adjustment, problem with text based screens on computer boot up.
Summary: This is my first lcd and I love it. Brightness, color, size, resolution, I only have one problem, it doesn't show the text based screen when my computer first boots, i.e. counting memory, showing bios splash screen. Also full dos screen in windows is blank. Still waiting to hear back from viewsonic support. So I don't know if it is the display or my vid card, yet it displays full text screens with no problem on my old CRT. Besides the above issue I have no problems at all and World of Warcraft looks like a new game compared to my old 19" Daewoo crt.

"Excellent Product" on by bigboy1069
Pros: good price, good image quality, overall ease of setting up
Cons: hard time getting DVI set
Summary: I have had this monitor for three days now and am blown away. Great image quality and the price (299 @ Office Max) was a super buy. The screen size is great and it doesn't take up any more room than my previous 17 in. LCD. Product game with both a analog and DVI connection cable. I have a DVI connection on my graphics card and the only draw back with the monitor is I haven't been able to get the DVI connection to be recognized by the monitor. The cords were very easy to connect. Other monitors I have had in the past required you to almost be a contortionist. Overall, I am very well pleased with the product.

"Great Monitor for a regular user" on by xtarburst
Pros: Design, quality,
Cons: speakers, drivers
Summary: well i got this monitor @ fry's for $300 and a $30 rebate (sending UPC bar codes will void to return the product to retail stores) vista recognized the monitor automatically w/o using viewsonic drive, the CD doesn't setup the driver. I had to download the Standard Unsigned VX2035wm driver from viewsonic website, and after several attempts I got it working, so much for the VIsta Certified logo...
today 02/15/07 I was noticing some text shakeness, I was just messing with the settings and by default the refresh rate is 60, had to chang it to 85 (it wont go more than that) and it got fixed.
I am gona get a video card and I hope the experience with my monitor is better
A great deal. I heard that another retailer was giving a $50 rebate. -
