"stellar monitor, vivid, low response time" on by nicolokolus
Pros: great contrast and brightness and minimal ghosting
Cons: maybe a little too bright at default,, movie quality is a little dodgy
Summary: This monitor has been a dream to use, the response time in games is pretty darn good, there's is very little ghosting noticeable (unless you really strain to see it) DVD playback is a little disappointing; there is a noticeable "sparkle" effect at times.
Those people who complain that this monitor streaks or ghosts a lot probably have a gen 2 or gen 1 vp191. As of gen 3 these monitors have a GTG latency of 8 ms and a black to white latency of 20 ms, more than acceptable for 3-D gaming. -
"Awesome Monitor" on by mst3k
Pros: Fast, Bright and Clear. Great for Gaming and DVDs
Cons: A bit pricey, but worth it.
Summary: I have always used a CRT as I play high end games like Half Life 2 and Star Wars Battlefield and lots of racing games. I read the first review here that stated not to buy this monitor for games. That is total nonsense. I see no ghosting at all playing at full resolution.

"Very nice display" on
Pros: I have two vp191b in a dual display setup. They are fantastic, very bright display, brilliant colors. Not a single dead pixel on either one. Highly recommended.

"nice monitor, but lacking high end performance" on
Pros: very good monitor, value is OK because it's performance is pretty good, but doesn't compare to a Mac studio display...colours are rich, sharp and bright, text is pretty good, but pixel fusion exists for both even in digital..but overall, a very good monit
