Pros: Good Price, Simple Design, Looks Good, Works Fine
Cons: Slight fade at very edges of screen
Summary: I purchased this LCD after browsing through everything that BestBuy had to offer. I paid $279 and chose it over similarly spec'd LCDs from Samsung and LG. The bottom line was that I saved at least $50 over other brands, and I am satisfied with this one. No dead pixels, plenty of brightness and contrast.

Pros: Clear, crisp. Good response time.
Cons: Veiwing angle
Summary: I use this monitor primarily for web browsing and gaming. It serves both of these purposes pretty well.
I picked this up becasue of the low price figuring I'd give it a shot and return it if it was lacking. The viewing angle is a little small besides that, it's a good monitor.
Games play well (no tearing or ghosting) and the blacks don't bleed light as much as monitors costing more.
I should add, I picked up a DVI cable for this. The VGA was decent but why mess with that if you have the option to go digital. -

Pros: Great picture and performance
Cons: Mediocre speakers and short warranty
Summary: Even though this monitor looked beautiful in the store, I wasn't expecting too much when I got it home. I am pleasantly surpried. The picture is bright and beautiful. Much better than my 17" MAG that will be retired. The speakers are so-so, but who cares. For $279, I just hope it lasts long.

Pros: The picture is crisp and clear when it worked. Sturdy base. Nice looking monitor. Lower price point.
Cons: Multiple issues with backlight dying, capacitors failing and power issues. Thank God I bought the extended warranty from Best Buy because I actually used it 5 times for the same issues until I ran out of warranty. Every fix only lasted a couple months. I
Summary: From this monitor I learned you get what you pay for. It's worth spending an extra $50-$100 more to get a superior model and avoid the frustration. Or spend the same amount on a refurbished model of a much better brand. This item (Westinghouse, in general) is a rip-off and not worth your time or money. Ebay is flooded with non-working units, which should be a clear indicator to avoid at all costs.

Pros: the product was working ok for two years of use. using it every day with my laptop computer.
Cons: after2 years is over. is just trash. bad for our packet bad for the environment. why not doing a marketing study before sending this kind of items to the market? is old fashion system and more expensive way maybe but it works.
Summary: not a good product for the price is not worthed. i got 2 of this monitors together i used them in two of my computers one laptop one desk. the one in my lap braoke first because i used it longer time. then i change the other monitor to my lap anmd also got broken in same time. they only last 2 years of certain hours of use and then they are trash. not way to repair is to expensive and not parts available.
this is the problem with products that do not have marketing studies previous before selling to the market. most companies don t do that anymore. we get products made all around the globe and nodoby cares about how good the product will be or how long it will last. and if they are good for environment or not? this product will need to get trash and damage our environment also. people that sell products like this will think it twice. something that last only 2 years and no way to recicle are bad. is not only the money we spend on them. we should start doing marketing research of products before sell them. something we used to do in USA many years ago.
