"Was a good bargain in it's day, now shows it's age."
Pros: Inexpensive, largeish, lots of input options. Built-in speakers could be a plus for those who just want to save desk space and have a large display.
Cons: Response time is embarrassingly slow. Display could be brighter, color accuracy leaves a lot to be desired.
Summary: When I picked up this monitor three years ago on a Black Friday sale for $200, I considered myself lucky to get it. It was my first LCD, and a hell of an upgrade from my flickering old NEC CRT. But it was just good for it's price and size. It was never a good *performing* monitor. It wasn't terrible, and given it's price, that was great. The fact that it had all the added input features was just icing on the cake.
Speakers are a joke for much more than windows sounds.
Volume down button is placed above the volume up button.
Unfortunately, it's now 2009. Many better displays can be had for the same price or less. There's really no compelling reason to recommend this display at all.
