"A good machine I have had for 2+ years"
Pros: Superb image quality, realiable, optimum native resolution/size ratio, excellent auto adjust, useful usb hub.
Cons: Slight color change in borders; annoying buttons and menus to adjust light, contrast and volume
Summary: I have had this amazing machine for 2+ years, hard work, and the only thing that has happened was a blown pixel visible only in white background after using it at full contrast and bright, however it is very difficult to see. I note it 1 day every 6 months, I forget it the rest of the time. There were no bad pixels for the first year.
I work as a computer support guy, and I see many LCDs, all brands, sizes, and I hardly have found a more comfortably monitor than this. Usually 17" LCDs have the same native resolution as the Sceptre X9G, but 2" less in size, making things look too small. This is a problem with Internet pages, menus, etc.
In other brands I have seen a lot of bad pixels, even renowned brands showing color changes and whole bad rows after a while, and sometimes "auto adjust" functions that do not bring the best quality possible. None of this things happen to my X9G.
Speakers are a plus, not great, but useful. I use them as tweeters, and they make a good team with the boosters I have.
The only thing I hate is having to touch buttons and navigating menus every time you want to adjust brightness, contrast or volume. They should be controlled by an old-style dial or by dedicated buttons.
I bought this monitor to read a lot of text (manuals, courses, Internet infos, etc.) directly in screen because in CRT this is nearly impossible, and the X9G has successfully fulfilled its purpose.
Overall, I am very happy and proud of having this big amazing machine.\
