"Digimon World, a great but hard game." on by goofy_rod

Pros: This game is awsome to the lovers of the digimon series!
You will get to be a lot of your favourite digimon, it just requires a little patience.
The battles are intense and thrilling once you get the hang of it!
    Graphics and music are good.

Cons: The game itself is hard to uderstand at first.
You will need some time before you can ACTUALLY start playing the game (you need to train first).
You always have to be one step further than the next boss, and if you're not it could ruin the adventur

Summary: I absolutely love this digimon game! It is playable and very interesting and it is always a thrill when your digimon suddenly stops to digivolve.
I do admit that i didn't get it quite well at first, since i was very young, but, now I understand it a lot better, so it has become very easy for me to play it.
I had played it when I was yoiung but couldn't get a hold of exactly what I was supposed to do with the little monster.
BUT, to everyone who wants to play this game, I do have to warn you that some patience and analysis skills are required. There is a lot of training involved and also a lot of "taking care" to do.
Anyways, I am going to give some hints on how to play this game:

    1. You are never too prepared for a boss or enemy.
    2. Choose your partner carefully by analysing the skills you have already acquired.
    3. Don't try to go out with a mere rookie or in-training. To progress you always need a champion digimon (Numemon and Sukamon are some Champions you should avoid until later in the game) or an ultimate.
    4. When training, use the special training. You will find out that it is actually easier to put three "poops" in a row than it looks.
    5. Figure out what the best digimon for you to have is by the digimon that you encounter in your way: for example, in the beginning it is better to have a fire-type and/or fighting-type digimon (fire-type=can learn fire moves) because most of the techniques used by foes are of this type and since you learn techniques by not only training wisdom (rare) but, primarily, fighting...
    6. There are some essential parts of the game that have to do with parts of the day. So make sure to check most of the places where something is examinable in every part of the day (example: Coela Point should be visited during the afternoon, otherwise you can never get on with the completion of the game).
    7. Take good care of your digimon since it's life span depends on your care abilities. Don't train it too hard, give it food, learn it's limits. The digimon here almost have a personality since they all vary somewhat, so have that in mind.
    8. When your digimon fades away, you get to pick a new one, a baby. You will notice that if you trained your digimon well enough in his previous life, the new born digimon will have higher traits than it did before. This is the way to get ultimates. You WILL NOT GET THEM AT YOUR FIRST DIGIMON. You have to keep on training until you eventually hit stats high enough to allow you to digivolve to this last form (once again, the special training is the best way to achieve Ultimate).

I hope that this was of any use. Just let me tell you that i had to discover this all by myself! So make good use of this information :D
