"Great lens, but"3.0 starson by raoul_lipschitz
Pros: fast, durable
Cons: pricey, not as sharp as some competitors
Summary: The lens took a nasty fall and survived intact. However, it has significant softness and fringing near the frame edges, particularly when using a full-frame DSLR (I used the Canon 5D, along with a 20D). Tough to make an exact comparison with Nikon, but compared this on a 20D against an Nikkor 17-35mm f/2.8D ED-IF on a D60, and the Nikkor won hands down.
