"Wired, 4 Button, Sleek, Clever Design,"
on by ahard2please1Pros Minimalist and Sleek, nothing to hang up in carrying bag. Works with XP, Vista, Win7. USB 1.1 or 2.0
Whole shell moves up and down, detectors sense left of right click user intent.Tiny (0.3" Dia) roller ball acts like 4 way without the tilt.Cons | Support for Win XP, Win 2000 Suggest a neglected/obsolete design Many complaints about roller ball failures. Side buttons only act when squeezed together. Virtually no instructions.
Use on Win Machines precluded many extra features.Summary Not Recommended
Forgot to mention that I used the Apple Mouse while writing this review. Cursor control was very good.
Purchased to test compatibility for life-time PC/Win users.
Proved to be operable with XP, Vista, and Win7 as well as Mac OS.
Once used to Wireless freedom of motion, it is hard for a user to go back to Wired.
Versatility of USB is missing.
I liked the Scroll Ball but it was too sensitive for vertical motion. Had to remember to click on the side bar for precision.
Not a good idea to use with any OS other than Apple's. The experiment precluded testing many advanced features.
Comments from users hammer the Scroll Ball and field reports are not kind about battery life of the MAGIC Mouse.
I think the "Mush" pad is the solution.
