"This mouse won't do what you think!" on by rmont

    Pros: Good size, looks nice

Cons: 1. When starting computer, BT will not automatically connect and 2. Can not program buttons

Summary: As you can read from my CONS there were 2 major difficulties I encountered with my NEW Powerbook running "Tiger" (OS 10.4.2).

    1. Every time I turned off my computer and later restarted, I had to go through the "pairing" sequence again.

    2. All I wanted to program was: Left button - single click; Right button - double click.

Would not do it! I emailed Kensington and they told me that their "programming package" (whose name I forget) will not run in my PowerBook and the basic Mac programming will not program this mouse.

Anyone want to buy one of these cheap?

P.S. If anyone thinks I missed something that would make this mouse work please let me know - but I did communicate several times with Kensington and they couldn't help. I'd love to be wrong.

    Updated
Since I wrote this review, I decided to try the mouse again and discovered that when you restart the computer and the mouse does not "hook-up", if you then click the mouse 2-3 times, it WILL start up without "re-pairing".
Interesting that no one pointed this out to me from Kensington.

"Poor Tracking, very jumpy, noticeable delay" on by dkny

Pros: Nice form factor, fits hand well

Cons: Poor Tracking, very jumpy, noticeable delay

Summary: I bought this mouse online after much research. I wanted a bluetooth mouse that was fairly small. I have an Imac G5 and Mac compatibility was required. I wanted a two button mouse with a scroll wheel and this fit the description.

Unfortunately, this mouse has very poor tracking. I don't know if it is the bluetooth interface or if it the optics of the mouse itself. My original Mac Mouse works wonderfully. Very precise and smooth. This Kensington mouse is very jumpy and has a considerable lag. I had though that with bluetooth it would be very receptive and smooth. This has not been the case.

I plan on returning this mouse in the near future. I will go back to using my one button Mac Mouse. I am very disappointed in the tracking quality of this kensington product.

"LOOKS ARE DECEIVING!!!" on by ydlockamy

Pros: Comfortable Grip & Great Style

Cons: Loses Connection Constantly; Batteries Don't Last Long

Summary: I've had this mouse for about 4 months. Each time my laptop hibernates, it loses the connection. This is totally unacceptable for a $50 mouse. Maybe I'm the one with the issue. Afterall, I sunk too much $$$ into this thing. I'm gonna return it to CompUSA this week because I've tried everything conceivable to make it work. My advice - Find Another Mouse!!!!

"Question- Does it have a dongle?" on by whitelamb526

Pros: two buttons, for mac users still used to PCs

Cons: size, others have mac problems

Summary: My friend is considering purchasing this mouse for his new MacBook, but reading the reviews, I've got a question- Does it have a USB dongle/adapter? I've been looking at other "Bluetooth" mice, but they come with USB adapters. What's the point if your computer is already bluetooth compatible? The whole point is to keep the USB port free, no?

And is this a good alternative to an Apple Mighty Mouse?

"Great bluetooth mouse" on by qjkbanks

Pros: Connect quickly, small and easy to use for long periods of time

Cons: The pairing can be a little tricky, and it is a little expensive

Summary: I read a bunch of coments regarding this mouse, some positive and some negative. I decided to buy one and I am quite pleased with the mouse. The pairing can be a little tricky, especially after your system goes to sleep. I wished the bluetooth mouse feature worked in OS X so I can see the battery life in the mouse. Make sure you download the software from Kensington, since that is the only way you will be able to program the buttons.

When you consider there are no cords cluttering up your desk and the small size of the mouse. It is a good buy. The on and off switch is quite handy also.
