Pros Looks cool.
Cons I am not going to try a third Anywhere Mouse even if it is free.
Summary This mouse sucks with a vengeance. I sent the first one back and the second one is going in the trash. The mouse pointer randomly jumps around the screen. The mouse randomly closes my open pages as I am working on them. It randomly jumps around an open Excel spreadsheet as I am working on it, a real bummer. It randomly jumps up and deletes the E-mail I am currently reading. The mouse randomly opens programs as the pointer moves across the Win 8 screen. I have custom made mouse pads (to protect my wooden desk surface) and this mouse does not like a white background; some days the pointer will move and other days I have to move the mouse next to my keyboard and use the brown desk protective pad as the background.
Pros This mouse works extremely well when it works. Like the posts before me, which might just be self-promoting ads for Logitech. However, mice have software, and that has to work well too, which in my case seems not to be the case.
Cons Yesterday my mouse worked great. Today, I cannot drag desktop items; i.e. hold down the left mouse button on something and move the mouse. Strange, the left mouse button works. I can click anything with it. The mouse cursor moves when I move.
Summary So the left mouse button works, and the mouse cursor moves, but not in tandem. I cannot, for example, select a block of text with the mouse. Apparently the Logitech forum for customer support is not very clear on the subject. For example, there is a Troubleshooting page for the Anywhere mouse that has a Download link that is broken. Sounds to me like a chop-shop of H1B Visa Hardware and C++ software engineers that have little or no marketing, sales, or quality control department. I've worked in them before. One CEO big man at the top demands that the engineering team ship on a specific date and forget quality control, we're gonna ship! No one on the team wants to be the messenger that gets shot, so "Sure boss, we'll be ready". A real company would have hired an outsourcing quality control company to preview their site periodically or have software that scans for broken links. It will probably be fixed by the time you read this. But here the URL that lead me to the "Oops page - this is not the page you are looking for". http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/428/5846&cl=US,EN?section=downloads
Pros - Small size
- Excellent build quality
- Lasts forever
- New model has AA batteries so batteries last for months even with constant use
Cons - On my mouse the left button is a tad stiff
Summary I've always loved Logitech mice and hated their drivers and software. Answer: don't use their software. There's not enough to justify their bloated drivers. Just plug it in and go. I use the mouse for 2D and 3D CAD, and office work. It's the best mouse I've ever owned. I had the Nano VX before and decided after five years it was time to retire it!
Pros Beautiful balance
Cons Erratic clicking / selecting
Sometimes double clicks for no reason
Wont click and hold (to drag)
Trying to select a word to format take 5 goes
Summary From the forums it seems Logitech is hoping we throw it away and get another one. I just clicked once before this sentence and it selected the previous sentence!!! I live Logitech products but this is a pig to use.Sorry didnt 'rate' it ....1 star because it doesnt work.
Mine is now in the bin. Now using an old USB mouse...works better.

Pros Works great, at first!
Cons Will break down on you, read below.
Summary This is my 2nd Anywhere MX mouse. The first one completely broke down after 3+ months of working perfectly. The mouse started to move on its own and became useless a few days later as it would move from one end of the screen to the other, all on its own. I quickly threw it away and bought another.
As it turns out, my next mouse has starting acting up. This time, I am sometimes unable to click and drag files and objects as it seems like the button would let go mid-drag. It also jumps around and does not move fluidly as if it were skipping or going in and out of power. Needless to say it is driving me nuts and I will not be buying another Logitech mouse in the future.
I thought this company made quality products and I paid extra for that quality. I won't be making that mistake again.
