"Excellent mouse with a few flaws"
on by BusterBluth07Pros Amazing ergonomics
Adjustable Weight
Excellent trackingCons Scroll Wheel is Terrible
side buttons could be biggerSummary I bought a Deathadder first and ended up taking it back because it wasn't as comfortable as I hoped and lack of dedicated on the fly sensitivity buttons. I got the G500 and I love it. It fits perfectly in my hand and the added weight you can put in makes it feel even better.
Now the bad.... The scroll wheel is pretty bad. It feels mushy and loose like its about to fall out. It isn't hard to just do a middle press like some reviews make it seem. The side buttons are a little small and close together. In all the positives more than makeup for the bad, its an excellent mouse but because of a few seemingly obvious flaws it only gets 4 stars. -
"Good short term mouse."
on by sdcurry2Pros Scroll wheel, Accuracy, ergonomics
Cons Short life span, Expensive.
Summary I bought this mouse in January and it was great. It felt good in my hand, and made gaming that little bit more enjoyable. It was accurate and fast and worked great. fast forward 5 months and the response time begins to fade, the buttons stop working, and it basically turns into a glorified paper weight. It was good while it lasted, but at $50, you can find much better mice.

"Did my G5 just have a kid?"
on by OGMarbleMikePros What doesn't this bad boy have? You can read all you want of the specs, but what matters is...
- The inclusion of the G5's adjustable cartridge/weight system (a must for me)
- Build in memory for saving personal settings (great if you want to use it on soCons The whole aesthetic design of the G5 was better. It confuses to look at them side by side. This change seems unwarranted, but everybody makes mistakes though.
Summary This mouse is amazing for gamers and average joes alike. Its sleek, sexy features are breathtaking. I had my G5 for 3+ years. It weathered a storm of constant hotel stays from a heavy travel job, hungry pets (Yes, a dog chewed the cable and I rewired that bad boy. Man down you say? Not on my watch), 3 moves, about 4500 hours of use, and who knows what else. After all my time with the G5, I can say with confidence that the G500 is an improvement as well as worthy replacement. It's built durable, designed beautifully, and priced affordable. Products like this make people brand loyal.

"The G500 is a Great mouse."
on by iamagoodguyPros Logitech is an established and reliable brand for mice, ALL mice, so we can skip the foreplay.
Cons None that I have found, it'scheap too.
Summary Essentially, with the Logitech G500 gaming mouse, you still get the customizable weight kit, the comfortable grip, the cleverly positioned buttons as well as the very high 1000 MHz polling rate in the laser sensor, to ensure smooth accurate cursor tracking, but without the Price tag attached to the G9x.

"Perfect mouse, just had to replace my G5 that gave up."
on by Anubis1969Pros Just like the G5 i like the weights that you can adjust to your needs.
Nice feeling while working/gaming.
Verry nice that you can change the scroll wheel. Only not handy during gameplay :)Cons Like they allready told, the slow down/speed up buttons are not so handy on the top left side of the mouse.
