"Highly configurable"
on by als54Pros Comfortable, fully adjustable to fit your hand. Very responsive laser and the software that comes with the mouse works well and is easy to use.
Cons Because it's so configurable be prepared to spend some time changing out piece to get it feeling right in your hand.

"Futuristic design, high customization and nice feel."
on by Constant82Pros Looks, "click feel", customization.
Cons Doesn't respond well on mouse pads, build quality is rather low for the price tag, tracking average if not below average.

Summary More of a transformer than a mouse, MadCatz may seem to have gone over the top with the exoskeleton design, but they haven't, honest! All the crazy design was purpose built to make the mouse (or Rat, if your fancy!) one of the most customisable mice ever- which in turn makes it arguably the most comfortable of the lot. As mentioned at the start of the article, DPI can sometimes give people the incentive that the mouse is far better the more sensitive it is. It isn't, but at least you'll be at rest to know that you're in store for up to 6,400 DPI! But this is by far the most uninteresting part of the mouse. Ever wanted a custom weight system? Tick that off your checklist. Ever wanted 6 programmable buttons for maximum control? Hazar! All included. Ever want.... I think you get the point, this mouse is full of innovative and exciting features, whilst it being practical and worthwhile- certainly not a gimmick like most gaming mice these days. No, with a solid aluminium chassis, Precision Aim mode for the ultimate sniper shot, 3 Cyborg modes and some powerful ST programming software which is surprisingly quick and easy to customise. Outfit your Rat with a bunch of great customisations and add ons, which include 3 palm rests, and 3 pinkie rests. Also, I'd like to note that you can adjust weight, palm length for you long handed folks, and a width adjustment for your thumb. All this and a brilliantly crafted braided cord culminates the years of hard work MadCatz have put into this mouse. Apart from the more prosumer price point, being £63 on Amazon, if you're looking for a new mouse that offers an amazing amount of features and customisability for the perfect gaming experience we at PixelVault believe this to be the mouse for you.

"great mouse...at first"
on by jphillips37Pros worked great at first. really liked the feel of the mouse and it is pretty smooth
Cons after about 5 months the mouse will stop working and need to be unplugged and plugged back in. It will either stop moving all together or only move on the x-axis, cant look up or down. It has become a very frequent issue.

"Simply the Best mouse I have ever had."
on by tx00824Pros Superb quality, very nice silky feel, customization is fabulous (I thought I wont care about it but it is so useful). I used to have Razer Copperhead and DeathAdder, and both are FAR behind this one in every aspect.
Cons It may be a little to heavy as I am used to light ones but this is not so much a con for me, just a change.
Summary If you want the best mouse, this is it
