"Very good mouse, does the job well" on by thewunderbar

Pros: wireless, long battery life, good thumb buttons, on the fly DPI change and multiple sets of feet ensure good customization

Cons: very big, scroll wheel not fantastic, no battery charge indicator

Summary: I've been using this mouse for a month, and it is very high quality, and the best gaming mouse I have ever used.

The reviewer did make an error though. The wire that connects to the mouse supplies power only, no data is transmitted. Thus, there is no hybrid "wired or wireless" mode. All data is transmitted wirelessly, while power is sent through the wire. Except for that point the review is good, and spot on on all the points.

"Doesn't work if you use WiFi." on by nanite2000

    Pros: Comfortable fit.

Cons: Interferes with WiFi signal, wrecking it's usability.
Blue light is actually worse than (previous) red lights.

Summary: The mouse shares the same wireless frequency as Wifi, regardless of whether it's plugged in or not. So if you use a wireless internet connection, expect poor performance from both your mouse *and* your internet connection. The mouse will be jerky under heavy internet load and/or your internet connection will slow to a crawl.
Furthermore, the blue light that is heavily promoted for this product (which is supposed to work "even on wood!")(which it doesn't by the way) is actually worse than the older red lights used on previous mice (which worked perfectly well on wood).
Do yourself a favour - avoid this poorly conceived (but nicely packaged) product. It just doesn't work.

"Mouse wheel breaks, scrolls up or down randomly" on by DavyBoyWonder

Pros: - good for those with bigger hands
    - great for when it works
    - magnetic power connector makes charging the mouse easy

Cons: - mouse wheel broke in less than 9 months, now mouse will scroll one more "click" even though you have stopped scrolling, about 5 to 10 seconds after your last scroll
    - feels slightly cheap on the build quality

Summary: sure I can send it in to Microsoft for a refund, or a new mouse, but sending it in costs money that Microsoft won't reimburse me for, and what will stop the replacement mouse from breaking?

"Looks good, but not worth it" on by rlkp

Pros: blue-tracking is really accurate, there are 3 speeds which is useful or on the fly switching DPI speeds, nice placement of macro and forward/backward buttons, has a wired/wirelss mode where you can recharge solely by using the "puck" that comes with it.

Cons: only 1 thing..... the recharging contacts for most people become defective within the first month or two. that means you will now have to manually change the batteries yourself so its a bit of pain...

Summary: no longer in production for a good reason, I would pass it up unless you're willing to switch the batteries every so often. otherwise gr5eat bang for your buck

"NOT left handed!" on by Lensman_1

Pros: The mouse is well built, works flawlessly, the scroll wheel is just fine and the dpi switching is superb.
Also I had a charge from flat via the cable in less than 12 minutes.

Cons: There is zero chance of any left handed user, as I am, using this mouse. The design is so right handed as to be almost an insult. The back/forward buttons are exactly where a left handed users little finger sits and the bosy is not grippable.

Summary: A very nice mouse that works flawlessly IF you're right handed.
Change the design slighly Microsoft to allow left handed users to use this item too and we'll all be happy.
