"I agree... stay away from this mouse!"
Pros: 1. It looks good
2. It is refreshingly light
3. the receiver is a simple USB key, and not the cabled "thing" provided with older MS Mice.Cons: 1. Although it looks ergonomic, it is not.
Summary: I really wanted to like this mouse which I bought in a desktop package.
2. The bottoms are too hard to push, and have a distinguished creak and click.
3. Sore wrist after an ½ hour CAD use.
I used it for two weeks hoping I would get used to it, but it never happened and I got a sore wrist.
Wireless Intellimouse Explorer 2.0 which I used before, and after is way better, my wrist is fine again after going back. I only wished it was as light as the 7000.
I do mechanical design in a CAD system, sometimes using a mouse intensively for hours at a time. If I used this mouse at work, alone the distinguished creak and click would drive my colleagues nuts. However my wrist would not stand long.
Perhaps for someone who use their mouse very little, the 7000 would be OK, but mine is now sleeping in the drawer.
