Pros Compact and easy to use
Cons Bluetooth quit working after only 3 weeks.
Summary Buy at own risk. This mouse works nicely when working, but unless you want to keep replacing it, go with something different.
Pros I guess price
Cons life span of 2 months
Summary it just Quit after only 2 months, I have not found a good laptop mouse yet
Pros compact & convenient
Cons there are no cons
Summary It does everything it is supposed to. It travels well; no parts get lost. It functions just like the full-sized version. It uses one battery instead of using a charger; less parts to lose. No software needed to install it.
Pros Comfortable size, decent range, new reciever, high definition
Cons Non-sale price is high, long term reliability?
Summary After hearing all the bad experiences people have had with this mouse I was hesitant to go and get one, even with its sale price of $20 (Canadian). However I did buy it when I saw that microsoft changed their unreliable and illogical reiever with a new more conventional 'stub' reciever.
So far I'm delighted with the mouse. The size is the perfect compromise between comfort and mobility. The high definition of the mouse means you need little movement of the mouse to move the cursor which allows me to use it on the plastic edge of my laptop. The quality is also very good it feels just like a corded mouse. Finally the range is far better than other reviews (and even Microsoft) suggests. The user manual says it has a range of 2.5 feet but mine works at twice that distance (although an ever longer range would be great).
My only negatives are that its non-sale price is quite high and that although they did change the reciever, I've lost some of my trust in microsoft and I question the long term reliability of the mouse; Nevertheless, I was attracted to the low price and the with the quality of the mouse and so far it's been a great buy.
Pros Comfortable for travel, battery life
Cons large for travel, short range, difficult install, expensive
Summary I travel a great deal for business, and thought this would be a good compromise between size and comfort. It was expensive -- $40, and had good battery life. But it's a little large, and the really bad things was it is a NIGHTMARE to get the computer to take the Intellipoint drivers most of the time, the range is only about 1 - 1.5 feet from the receiver, and the whole thing just quit working after only a few months of service.
