"Without a doubt the BEST cordless mouse on the market."
Pros: Exception battery life, Great ergonomics, nice look.
Cons: Lefties are not invited to the party.
Summary: I have tried and hated 3 different cordless mice from the MS Blue Mouse to the Logitech Media Mouse. This mouse was advertised as the FIRST laser mouse and even though it was $80 when I bought it I decided to give it a shot. Boy am I glad I did.
Most cordless mice use rechargable NimH batteries but the MX-1000 has an internal Lithium-Ion. I only have to drop it in the recharge station about once a week and that's with about 30 hours of use.
The feel of the mouse is also great. While it's too bad Lefties are out of luck right-handed people will love it. The problem with most mice that are designed for either hand is that it's a trade-off... all can use it but not as well as something specifically designed for them. Usually after using a universal mouse for a few hours my hand would start to hurt. Not so with the MX-1000. It is designed with comfort in mind and now I can use it for hour upon hour with no cramping.
Whether or not this would a good mouse for Gaming I can't say as i'm not a gamer.
