Pros Nice player, like the scroll wheel
Cons Sonic Stage, material feels cheap
Summary Well, its not a bad player, sounds not too bad if you know how to adjust the EQ right. Makes quite a racket when it reads the md though, sounds like its straining most of the time. You can use it to store files, but try putting big items like movies and stuff because it'll read it forever and if you leave it in there too long it seems to not be able to read the md anymore so you'll have to reformat/initialize it. However even with all its little imperfections I would really like this player if it wasnt for Sonic Stage. Problems always occur when I use it even after mulitple reinstalling and rebooting. It takes way to long to import music into the library and locks up now and then when i transfer music. Because of sonic stage, I will no longer be getting any DAPs from them until they realize their software is crap and that their excellent products dont deserve such **** software.
Pros Compact, x-tra long battery life, adequate anti-jog mechanism. Instant Chat support.
Cons No Microphone Support!! It's just a storage unit--an expensive, compact CD case. I'm selling my brand-new unit on eBay this week to buy something more versatile.

Pros it's cheap, and the sound is really good
Cons little bit bulky
Summary seeing it's price in eBay, then u know it's perfect
"beeps when playback is paused", no, this is wrong
u can disable it in menu
if u wanna record, then pay more to have one that can record
and, it can be used with the existing remote control u have(only sony ones)
and the best advantage of this unit is its reading ability
not like the previous years of MD player, this unit's reading ability is really very very very good!

Pros Great sound, long battery, unlimited storage, small, light, sleek design, cool and easy to use controls (love the jog dial!)
Cons Nothing at all
Summary I thought it was finally time to replace my Irock 520 32MB mp3 player. I looked around, but I couldn't find anything that really suited it, especially in my price range of under 90 bucks. So I talked to one of my friends and he recommended a MiniDisc Player. So I looked them up and I was impressed. I ordered the MZNH600D and I am blown away by it. Long battery life, GREAT sound quality (at 48kbps!), unlimited storage, sleek and small design, and very easy to use controls. I love the jog dial wheel, makes it very easy to flip through large numbers of songs. Anyone who has a large library of songs to flip through will quickly grow to love this jog wheel. I currently have 230 songs on the 1GB disc it came with, I still have over 655MB left. And you can hold a total of 675 songs per 1GB disc, and for 6 bucks a pop, thats an awesome deal, unlimited storage! I bought a five pack of regular discs instead though for only $6.25 ($1.05 a disc). Each disc holds 300MB, about 200 songs. Dispite what I have heard about ATRAC, I love it. ATRAC3plus sounds fantastic, even at 48kbps, which is the minumum rate and I use it. The LCD is great, you see everything you need and the song/artist name scroll across the screen so you can see all of it. I couldn't be happier. And best of all this thing was only 80 bucks, and with ipods as much as 300, this is a steal.
Pros Good sound, durable
Cons Big compared to other mp3 players, expensive, software..
Summary I own Sony MD-NH700 which I bought last year and now wish I had waited. The interface is good and I like the scrool wheel and nipple but there are way better options out there now even from Sony. I have never used the record function (though I still might) or changed the 1gig disc at all (no need). Also way to expensive for a unit (in Canada). If you want to record on multiple discs its fine but otherwise look elsewhere, I'm already am.
