"Great Van, reliable, and nice riding"
Pros: Reliable, nice riding, quality built
Cons: Air Conditioning draws a lot of power from engine
Summary: I actually have a 2001 Town & Country, however it is no different than the 2007 model. I got it second hand with only 34k miles on it, and it handles well, and out of all the minivans has the best acceleration. The only cons are that in the snow as we get a lot in Michigan, it has trouble accelerating especially on an incline such as a steep driveway. It takes me six or seven tries flooring it to get it up our rather steep driveway in the winter. Also the air conditioner is great with separate controls for the back as well as the front but it taxes the 180hp engine which normally is more than enough for this vehicle. The only problems I have had with it is that the power doors do not work properly in weather colder than 50 degrees F. The door will start to open and pop, but not actually open all the way, the door must be re-closed and then actuated again for it to open, and the only other problem, was one day driving in about 2 feet of slush, the condensation on the batter shorted out the power to the wipers, power steering, ABS Breaks, Traction control, lights radio, ect for about 5 minutes then it came back on. Other than that it is a great vehicle. I am a 17 year old pilot who loves big cars, and wanted an expedition but ended up with this instead. At first I thought it was the end of the world, but it drives like a cloud over our horrendous rodes in Michigan, and it has really grown on me.
