"Works well with SkypeOut"
Pros: Don't need to spend $$ on junky headsets
Cons: One minor issue with installing
Summary: I have used this with SkypeOut to call internationally and have found it to sound better than a traditional phone call. I even used a splitter to connect two telephones to it, one being a cordless and the other corded, and the device was able to support the required electrical current for both. Actiontec said officially, in a forum reply, that they have tested it with 2 corded telephones. The issue I had was initially installing it. First you install the drivers and then connect it to a USB port. I connected it to a powered USB hub, and my computer detected that I connected it, but didn't seem to do anything else, like search for drivers. After looking in device manager, it I saw that it didn't have enough power. I would have been nice for Windows to inform me when I connected it. Once I connected it directly to the PC's USB port, it installed just fine.
