Summary We were excited to be able to get out from under Comcast. In the beginning is was great. Easy setup, no wait, connection was ok. We signed up for the unlimited plan. They state "Do whatever you love online and do it as much as you want. You don't have to worry about additional charges or overage fees." but in the tiniest print in light grey lettering so it almost disappears it states "Unlimited plan subject to Clear's acceptable use policy". We only used it to surf the web and watch netflix, I wasn't even using it to do any online gaming or file transfers from when I work at home. Within a few days the speed dropped dramatically. When it did connect, it was like having dial-up again. When we finally got through to customer service, they said that we were using too much bandwidth and they restricted our usage. So it's an unlimited data plan, but only to a certain point! That makes absolutely no sense. Definitely not worth the time and money.

Summary CLEAR HAS TO HAVE ONE OF THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT I HAVE EVER EVER ENCOUNTER. THEY TALK LIKE ROBOTS....I UNDERSTAND THEY MUST BE CHEAPER EMPLOYMENT IN THE PHILLIPINES BUT WHY DONT THEY HIRE PEOPLE THAT ARE VERY VERY FULENT ENGLISH. THEY DONT INTERACT OR TALK TO YOU LIKE A NORMAL PERSON WOULD BE ON THE PHONE...THEY ANSWER Y OUR QUESTIONS FROM A SCRIPT LIKE AN AUTOMATIC MACHINE IF YOU CAN UNDERSTAND HALF OF WHAT THEY SAY. "I AM VERY SORRY SORRY...DAVID LET ME TRY TO GET YOUR ISSUE RESOLVED" OK THEY MUST HAVE SAID THAT 10 TIMES IN A MATTER OF 15 MINUTES - MY GOD !!!!! WHEN YOU ASK THEM A SIMPLE YES OR NO QUESTION THE RESPONSE WILL END UP BEING LIKE 5 MINUTE RESPONSE AND TOTALLY GO AROUND THE ISSUE AND THE QUESTION ASK NEVER ANSWERED !!!
I HAVE BEEN WITH CLEAR FOR OVER A YEAR AND HALF NOW AND SO FAR I HAVE HAD GREAT "INTERNET" SERVICE - TOOK ON MY CRUISE LAST YEAR AND IT ACTUALLY WORKED AT EVERY LAND PORT...DOESNT WORK ON THE WATER OF COURSE BUT VERY HAPPY WITH IT. I SEE NET ZERO NOW HAS THE SAME WIFI FORMAT FOR A FEW $$ LESS WITH NO CONTRACT - I HAVE ABOUT 6 MONTHS LEFT TO GO ON MY CONTRACT SO I JUST MAY GIVE THEM A TRY - BUT GOD FORBID IF YOU HAVE ANY INTERNET SERVICE ISSUES......GOOD FREAK'N LUCK IN GETTING IT RESOLVED. I AM A LITTLE BIT PUTER SAVY BUT WHEN THEY TALK TO YOU LIKE YOU ARE 5 YEAR OLD AND THE AGENT THINKS YOUR STUPID - I LITERALLY HAT THAT !!!!! SO WITH THAT BEING SAID --- NO I WOULDNT RECOMMEND CLEAR AT ALL IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH HARD TO TALK TO CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENTS UNLESS YOU SPEAK TAGALOG THEN YOU WILL BE JUST FINE - BUT LUCK WITH THAT SINCE THEY THEMSELVES ARE NOT REALLY TRAINED !!!

Summary I purchased mobile internet service from clear.com over the phone because it seemed like a good idea. Price was not bad for 3g 4g and the month-to-month that the agent offered was a risk I was willing to take. Unfortunately it didn't work quite well. Internet was irritatingly slow and kept disconnecting constantly. After four months I called to cancel my service and to my surprise they charged me a $97 cancel fee after they originally told me it was a no-contract month-month service. Never again and I do not recommend it to anyone.
Pros Service works great during the first week only.
Cons Poor Internet service. They promised 5-8 mbps download speed but what I got was 0.2-3mbps. More than three times a week, I received less than 1 Mbps download speed.
Their Unlimited Internet plans also have limits. When my Internet speed slowed down to 0.2
Summary I made several calls to their support team, but they could not solve the problem of poor connection speed. During one of my several conversations with Clear's technical support team, one representative told me that my speed is slow because I have been using too much Internet. Which made me very upset because I had purchased their fastest unlimited internet service plan just so I could enjoy their phone service and the online experience without worrying about the slow down. But I learned later, that my "Unlimited plan" also has a limit. Their unlimited plan does not allow to exceed certain amount of Internet usage. I had purchased their service because they promised "Blazing fast Internet speed". In reality, I received a very poor Internet, and "Blazing, fast speed was missing".
Pros bad coverage, it works here it wont work there,
