Pros Nice small modem that doesn't require power brick.
Cons Fax "software provided" is misleading; what you get is only a 30-day trial version which costs more than the modem to purchase.
Summary I have had good experiences with Zoom modems in the past and this hardware is probably just as good.Sorry for typo in title........it should read "Fax" not "FGax"
However, when they say: "Send and Receive Fax supports faxing directly from your computer when used with
compatible software. Software is provided for Windows computers." on their datasheet, they are misleading the customers.
In the past Zoom provided a copy of 01Communique Lite which was a very good fax and voice communications package, more than adequate for most users. Unfortunately, this product was written for Windows 98 (and you could get an upgrade for Windows XP if you managed to get the the right support person, no small task) it hasn't been upgraded for Vista or Windows 7.
Zoom now includes a copy of Communicate Deluxe, but it is only a 30day trial copy and the purchase price for it is well more than the cost of the modem alone.
Zoom should be more honest in their sale literature like the datasheet, and tell customers in advance that the "software provided" is only a trial copy.

Pros faxes through a Vonage (VoIP) telephone line and a regular line. No special settings. Using the winXP faxing tool (printer).
Dial-up internet connection- great.
if line is ringing a pop up to click here to answer. no caller ID info appears
Cons if a receiving fax mach. says "push *star to send a fax"...have the person answer the call then they push receive for it to start.
my All-in-one would not (yet) see modem and enable my AIO to send faxes. (I get a "no modem detected" message.)
Summary love it. works well.
I did not install the optional software about answering call waiting calls. I just installed the drivers.
It is very small and portable.
