"Excellent System Board!"
4.5 starson by OwestaPros: Very Flexible CMOS, Very Easliy Overclocked, Ram and CPU. Great Mid range CPU support. All Around Excellent system mainboard.
Cons: Max Bus support of 1066. Only 4 SATA ports. No External SATA. PCIe does not run 2.0.
Summary: I have been running the ABIT IB9 board for 18 months. From the Intel Pentium D 3.2 4mb chip to the Intel E6400. New bios updates support E7400/E7500 Quads with 1066. This is an all around Excellent mainboard with plenty of resources. I have been using it as a gaming rig. With a 8600 GT OC nvidia card. Run Crysis with high settings very well. Fear Runs Great. Online Game play is awsome with a gigabit Ethernet! Best board for the money. Im going to miss abit.
The restarting issue of this specific mainboard when first powering up the system is a verification feature, and normal for this board. This will not cause any problems. Having the extra ATA is great for burner drives and flexibility. The only operating system i could not get running was Windows 7 RC, I expect this was due to a memory addressing error, system blue screens on setup initialization. Expect a few querks when running linux, other then that pretty much everything is smooth sailing.
