Well built, great motherboard manual, impressive bios
Fits extremely tight in Abit mid-sized case, only 1 IDE port, driver integration could be improved upon

For the money, this is a good board. I purchased this board, partially with the assistance of Tigerdirect, which for the most part was good, except for the fact that this motherboard has only one IDE port. Yes, I know, I should have read the specs more carefully. It had been a few years since I last upgraded my system, and I never expected to lose an IDE port.
For installation, this motherboard is equipped with a padded connector plate which is vital, as I had to apply significant amount of pressure to align up the mounting screw holes. Documentation accompanying this board is considerably better than most I have read (Gigabit, Abit, MSI), however, the instructions for installing the cpu fan could be improved. With video technology these days, it would not be difficult to contain a link or a video file on the installation cd. Some experts say you merely push down on the fastener, and then lock it. The book says you have to push two down at the same time. This did not work for me; I pushed down each fastener and it worked like a champ.
Starting up and Driver integration:
The Bios is impressive, offering many fantastic options and has the settings smartly configured by default. I'm not into overclocking, but if you are, this is a motherboard worth considering. I installed XP Pro fresh on my computer, and chose the option to install all the drivers at one time, and the system locked up. I rebooted, and then selected each driver setup individually, and it worked out ok. I expected better, given the quality of the board. I also have numerous active USB ports, and I had to swap out each plug in order to get all of them recognized. After that, I've not had any problems. This was my first SLI motherboard, and I purchased an intel 2.53 Ghz, (Dual core), EVGA Super-clocked Geforce 8800 GS, with Ultra 2g of ram.
Bottom line, if you want a solid motherboard, have mostly SATA connectors, or just one IDE hard drive, and one writable cd/DVD writeable drive, this is a good board. I rate this board 9/10.
