Pros

Has all of the features that I wanted it to have! 4 SATA ports, supports DDR2-800 memory.

Cons

The fact that it's a Gigabyte board and breaks less than 3 months after purchase.

What got me upset was i put in a "Replacement Material Authorization" request with Gigabyte, and instead of "replacing" it they told me they are going to try to fix it!

Normally, when you RMA something, you get a replacement sent within a few days. Well because they need to figure out the problem, fix it, and ground ship it back, it has taken more than 4 weeks!

Basically what I'm saying is buy this or any Gigabyte product at your own risk! & understand that you will be without a computer for about a month if you you have a problem!

I've been doing system builds professionally and at home for years. Gigabyte had a pretty good name with me, I've recommended them many times, but this board seems to be a loser. I started with a GA-P35C-DS3L last September. Ran fine until I removed the video card to use it in another system and bought an EVGA 8800GT. System wouldn't post. Wouldn't post with old video card. No test I did (and I did many) got it working, so I went to the store and bought a GA-EP35C-DS3R (newer energy-efficient version of the same board). It wouldn't post. Figured the video card had trashed both boards as that was the new item. So I returned the video card and MB, but they were out of the board. So... I ordered a brand new GA-P45-DS3R. I had really not wanted to wait, but if I was gonna wait, might as well move up a little. But, guess what? No POST. Just cycles power 8 seconds in. No video, no nothing. I had it tested, each of the components, the 8800gt, the Crucial Tracer Ballistix 1066, the CPU: all worked fine in the bench board at the store. So, I'll try a different brand for a while and to RMA my original DS3R. Wish me luck.
