"The A/L iMT702 is a great unit for the money."
Pros: For its size and convenience of this speaker system, this is a great sounding unit. It's priced fairly too. I also like the design of the system. This is an especially nice system if you own an iPhone.
Cons: I use the iPod Nano 3G most of the time and for some reason, the EQ on the iPod gets reset to "off" every time I turn the system on/off or remove/replace the iPod to the cradle. To get the bass this system is capable of, you need to set the iPod EQ.
Summary: Other than having to reset the EQ, this is a nice sounding system capable of good sound reproduction inside or outside of the home. Maybe some of the other iPods don't have this problem, but it's aggravating. Hope A/L will have a solution to this some day.
Also, if you are an iPhone owner, this system is really designed for you. My wife is in the market for an iPhone and maybe I'll have an update based on her experience soon.
Lastly, I have read where some say that the technical service provided by A/L is sub-par. That HAS NOT been my experiece. Based on my gripe about the EQ, they sent me a replacement in short order. The replacement had the same problem, I reported it to A/L and they said they are working on it. I can't ask for much more than that.
