Pros true wireless capability, works as advertised
Cons none really, let's not get so picky here
Summary I love this system! I read dozens of user and industry reviews before buying Evolve and most of the criticisms are unmerited. C'mon people, these are 12 watt, 4 inch dynamic cone speakers--of course they are not going to deliver true hi-fi. I think they sound great, louder than I expected from the reviews I read. The remote works from anywhere in the house. Why would anyone expect it to handle complete function control of the iPod--you need to see the iPod's display in order to change albums, create playlists, etc. And as far as the speakers being sealed so you cannot eventually change the lithum-ion batteries; isnt that just like an iPod? In two years or so when the batteries are done, the market will be flooded with systems like this, so you go buy another one--just like an iPod. Buy it if you are thinking about it, it's very cool, sounds great and the handles on the beautifully designed speakers allow you to take them anywhere in your house--cool

Pros true wireless, works indoors, outdoors, thru walls with good sound, can hook up to reciever radio
Cons would be nice if it had its own radio
Summary have been looking for a product like this forever. I spend alot of time outdoors in the summer and like to listen to music and the ball games. This allows me to do this, with better sound than the small portable ipod speakers,
Pros Well constucted, nice finish, and the non-directional RF remote is great.
Cons lacks deeper bass tones, battery cannot be replaced
Summary Overall, I'm pleased. It doesn't look cheap, sounds pretty good and was exactly what I was looking for. As for now, you can't add additional speakers, but they tell me that's coming in early '08'. It would also be nice if you could buy aftermarket stands for the speakers.Updated

Pros The portability factor is awesome and the speakers sound great.
Cons The batteries in our speakers died after just two years. Griffin doesn't offer replacement batteries. You have to buy a whole new set of speakers for $100. We also had to order a replacement remote after just one year because of issues we had.
Summary For the same price, you can get much better systems. I wouldn't waste our money again to have to spend another hundred bucks in just a couple years.
Pros For two years the system worked as presented. Excellent wireless range and "initial" battery life. Easy set up.
Cons The sound was only average. The reason to buy this expensive product was wireless portability. Speakers will only work while connected to the base now. I could have bought 3 systems with better sound and no portability for the same cost.
Summary The warranty is 1 year and the reason for spending this kind of money (wireless speakers) only lasts 2. Griffin will ALLOW you to purchase "REFURB" speakers to replace the dead ones for $100 with a 90 day warranty if you're out of warranty. This is considered a good deal by Griffin. Why would I buy anything thats a refurb if the originals didn't last more than two years. If you are willing to spend top dollar for functionality that only lasts a year beyond the warranty this is the product for you!
