"Griffin iTrip - terrible"
Pros: Tiny, easy to pack
Cons: Barely worked
Summary: I bought this in Sept. 2006 and used it for the first time on a six hour car trip in Oct. 2006. I could not make it work at all. I didn't bring the instructions because when I tried it out at home, it seemed simple enough and it worked. Once I reached my destination, I found an electronics store and read through the instructions again. It worked sometimes during the six hours back to the airport, but mostly it did not work. I kept thinking it was something I was doing. From that trip through Sept. 2007, I continued to try it when on a car trip. It hardly worked. After calling Griffin, I found out that since I bought it at Target and no longer had the receipt, they couldn't help me. I don't know about most people, but I shop at Target a few times a month, and I don't keep my receipts. I have now purchased an FM transmitter for my Ipod by another manufacturer. I just returned from a 2100 cross country road trip. It worked flawlessly. I had no problems with it at all. I probably should have contacted Griffin earlier, but I kept thinking I was doing something wrong. However, I can't believe they would not help me without the receipt. Maybe my iTrip was defective, however, without help from them, all I know is that it didn't work and I wouldn't recommmend it.
