"Returning Mine To The Store"
Pros: Size, Carry Case, Sound At Lower Volumes
Cons: Defective Unit, Distortion at Higher Levels
Summary: After much comparison of iPod "boom boxes" and portable speaker systems, I settled on the Logitech mm50 and purchased a black unit at Costco for the bargain price of $98.
Following features were defective.
1) Instead of charging my iPod, it discharged while playing on this unit.
2) Tinny, distorted sound at volumes within my listening range.
3) The pause/start button on the remote was erratic and maybe functioned once out of every five or ten depressions.
4) Written instructions were poor and did not describe how to tell when unit was fully charged.
5) No indicator light for when iPod is charging.
Very disappointed in this unit. Think I'll forget about a "boom box" and go buy a really good headset instead.
