  • "Great niche product, it all fits in a single box!"
    on

Pros Simple to use and set up. It took me longer to open the box and take out the single page instruction sheet, power supply cable and connection cables then to hook it up. Good quality and pleasing sound for your bedroom or small room. Sound quality is infin

Cons Controls are on the back side but you would only need to use them occasionally when listening and fine tuning the sound to your own taste due to different sound sources, i.e., certain DVD's vs CD's. Stronger bass (20 watts available) at lower volume leve

  • "ZVOX 315 meets Cambridge Porta Pak"
    on by Stevenaudio

    Pros Both are very good.

Cons The Cambridge gets the edge.

Summary Well my ZVOX315 just arrived. I hadn't thought much about comparing the two- but differences became obvious. Both cost me $149. Both of these systems play very good, clear and loud with good bass extension. But the edge goes to the Cambridge. It had clearer-airy highs, a more neutral mid-range and definitely lower-bass notes. Switching back and forth was telling. I had a few other guys give a listen. Observations were unamious, all gave the nodd to the Cambridge over the ZVOX315 and at all volume levels. I own both so I have nothing to gain- OR offer.....BUT the Cambridge just may be the steal-of-a-deal for any system under $250. It comes with a nylon backpak and the speakers never has to be removed from the pak once their setup inside (battery, charger and AC plug included). I haven't heard much about this system but it deserves a listen to those who are interested in smaller speaker systems. These are two different speaker types as the ZVOX is more for a permanent location and the Cambridge are for those on the go with space to setup when you get there.

  • "Good speaker for the money"
    on by chiltonj

Pros Great when mixed with TV sound

Cons Sometimes overpowers voice on TV

Summary For the money, this is the simplest and best speaker that you could add to your TV without blowing a wad of cash on a real system. It takes a little while making the right adjustments with the TV speakers but all in all, I am very pleased with this product. Sometimes, the speaker can overpower voices. In other words, it's hard to hear what TV characters are saying. However, this just might be the large room that echo's where the equipment is placed in.

  • "Value for dollar"
    on

Pros If you want the most unobstrusive sound boost for your TV. This is it. I placed it on the bottom of my TV stand, and it still gives a rich 3-D sound even on the floor. I will be watching more movies in my bedroom than the home theater in the family room.

Cons A remote control would be nice for those times I use my ipod.

  • "Rich sound, quality built, great price."
    on

Pros This is a quality built speaker set that provides full rich sound with good simulated surround sound at a great price. The setup is easy, and once set there is no need to adjust the three easy to reach controls on the back of the unit. The box is the si

    Cons None known.
