Pros Product hooks up with a headphone jack and works fine with my IPOD and Big Screen TV. Non-audiophiles (like me) rejoice. Sound is good to very good. In a large apartment really does the job for me. Blows away big screen TV built in speakers.
Cons Product is boxy and not very pretty so it won't enhance your decor if you're into that. I tried to hook a subwoofer to it and couldn't get it to work (supposedly this can be done) --- but that may be klutzy, non-handy me.
Summary Quick relatively cheap way to get very good sound (that comes close to surround sound) with no wiring, no cabling, not having to hassle with a full blown installation of a surround sound system. Also relatively compact -- no speakers to place and run wires to, etc. Sure, a true surround sound system will beat it hands down, but for apartments (where neighbors will have your tail if you crank it up) or rec rooms, or master bedrooms, it's perfect. Even if you're an audiophile, you can have your high end surround sound system in your living room and have this downstairs in the basement or rec room. Recommend it highly. I've had it for about a year and a half. Now I see soundbars at Radio Shack and other places. Haven't compared them, but the Zvox definitely will hold its own.
