"close to junk status"
Pros: intuitive controls
Cons: terrible software
Summary: I was sold on the low price and in staying within the Dell family (notebooks too), but after having had the DJ replaced 3x in over 2 years, I'll never buy another Dell product. MusicMatch is basically junk, unless you upgrade (at cost) to the better version, which, though better, is still NOT intuitive like i-tunes. Everything is a pain with the DJ, from storing data files to uploading music. The buttons on the DJ have to be pushed 2-3 times before they register - very frustrating. It also tends to lock up at least once a week. The DJ does have a long lasting battery though.

3 bad apples don't spoil the bunch. Personally i think this device is pretty good, sorry for your bad luck with it.

If i hadn't downloaded real player (free) and used that instead of Musicmatch (which sucks ass) i would be also extremely annoyed that everytime you wanted to transfer songs you have to create a NEW playlist....
