"I love my Nomad"
Pros: lots of music storage, less expensive, neat machine once you get to know it
Cons: there is definitely a learning curve to this player
Summary: I have now had my Nomad Xtra Zen 30gb player for 8 months and I have had no problems.
It doesn't get a 10, because it doesn't have some of the nifty featuers I would like, for instance cross-fading. But it is easy to make playlists on the fly and once you play with the machine a lot and really get to know it, it is easy to use.
Because I find that it is hit or miss with MP3 players, I bought the extended warranty from the retailer where I bought it. That way I can relax knowing that if anything DOES go wrong, I can return it, no problems.
