"The best iPod yet..." on by ladlc

Pros: Big screen, Does Video, super thin (compare to previous lines) and it comes in white or black.

    Cons: Expensive, still no radio.

Summary: I believe this is the best mp3 and video player to date. I used to own several "other" mp3 players and video player and those dont compare to the stylish design, great features, easy functionability and superb storage of the new iPod. Apple is even updating iTunes to sell over 2k video feeds, music videos, movie trailers and my favorite Tv shows. This will revolutionize the way we watch TV. The new iPod will be the clear winner in this holiday season. Once again dominating the market with those other players, only demonstrating who' boss and what the vast majority of customers want in they're music and video players.

Other great features include: Listening to podcasts, audiobooks, watching video podcasts, movie trailers, viewing contacts, calendars and storing all kinds of documents in its hard drive.

Its a great system but the money is just too much. So instead of paying for it, I worked with something i had already which was 300 Cd's. I sent them to ipodmeister who digitized my entire collection into the brand new ipod. I also got back up DVDs of all of my music and a stereo link. If you have less CDs you can get a smaller ipod...or you can pay $1 per item you are missing. Again, it's called ipodmeister and its a great great deal!

Do you people buy into anything?? I mean I am not against iPod or anything because I own a 30 gig Video, Nano, & Shuffle (all three were Christmas gifts) and I like them but I also own a Creative MuVo S200 [just purchased], Creative MicroPhoto and Creative Zen Vision:M. Now that I have those Creatives my cousin who is 16 is getting my iPods. Let's be real iPod Video just doesn't cut it. The battery life is just SORRY and those headphones, they can do a whole lot better. Please and you really do get more bang for your buck with a Creative. Also the BEST mp3 and video player to date(someone else said that)??? Let's just be honest PVP's have been around for a good while now and Archos already had a pretty darn decent one out before the iPod Video was out. I just want to say please before you buy into all the hype and what not, do your own research!

I agree the features are great, but with such a pathetic little battery you have about an hour or two to enjoy them. My laptop has more features and runs for 4.5 hours. My PSP has more features and it runs for 5 hours. Why they sacrificed size for battery capacity I'll never know, they've totally ruined this iPod's usefulness.

Why didn't Apple go ahead and use the power saving organic LCD technology everyone else is already fielding? Apple is supposed to be an industry leader and at $300-$400 a pop, I don't think it's too much to ask for.

I'm not happy with mine at all. This is my first iPod and it may be my last if I'm stuck with this lemon. Apple misrepresented it's battery life and so did the Best Buy clerk who sold it to me. I'm willing to give the 60 gig unit a whirl, and if it pulls off 2-3 hours of video and the claimed 20 hours of battery life playing music, I'll be extremely happy. But my 30 gig unit makes a great paper weight.
