Pros Easy to use
Simple, elegant interface
Really easy to carry/wear
Great sound quality
Can be used as watch
Cons No video playback
Summary Overall, I quite enjoy using this Nano. The thing is, I think Apple took a bit of a step backwards. The camera was taken away, along with the ability to view videos.
Also, the form factor of the iPod is extremely tiny, therefore creating problems for those with vision problems, or for those with large hands.
I have bought a case which has a watch band on it so I can wear it as a watch, and for that, I would definitely recommend it! The iPod looks absolutely stunning, and can be worn with anything. It's just compliments galore from the second I put it on.
Pros Quality, Features, Size, Multi-Touch Screen, Materials (Aluminum and Glass), Complements my Classic
Cons Had to pay full price, Apple earphones which I quickly replaced with Bose. As a senior citizen, I sometimes find my big shaky fingers a little much for the screen.
Summary Like Apple says, this is now all-music...well mostly. It does have clocks, alarms, photo display, and pedometer. But I don't need or want previous Nano features like video, cameras, calendar, games, etc. I bought it for music. I have the Classic which holds all my stuff, but use this for easy-to-carry convenience with just part of my library. I still cannot believe I paid exactly what my wife paid for her Nano 4G and it's click wheel and has no radio. I'm impressed that for the same price I have a superior, touch-screen player. I love it...but am glad I have the Classic for storage of my entire song collection.
Pros Sound quality has greatly improved over previous generation ipods. Touch screen and compact size.
Cons Nothing I can really think of.
Summary If you want more features get an ipod touch! however if you want something that plays music very well and very portal then this is a good music player.
Pros Smaller and lighter than the touch I was using. Has its own clip so no case needed. Does not have any unnecessary features. Does not drop off my gym shorts like my touch does! Great sound and even has radio! Holds way more than a shuffle!
Cons If you sweat a lot be certain the dock connector is not turned so that sweat could get into it. Battery life could be better as there is no way to turn the device off!
Summary I use an ipod at the gym 6 days a week for 1.5 to 2 hours a day..and I have for years! Yeah I know I'm a gym rat. If you want a small, simple, music player that allows easy access to a clock or stopwatch to time in between sets, then get this one! If you want more bells and whistles and don't go for gadget simplicity and design simplicity, consider a touch! If you consider it a little pricey and don't need the storage capacity, go with the shuffle.
"All show, no go."on by JackT19
Pros Very small and convenient to clip in a pocket or on clothing.
Cons This is really a Shuffle, not a Nano. Poor fit of parts made it impossible to use.
Summary The headset jack did not fit well in the socket so hearing anything depended on physically holding the jack in exactly the right position. So much for running or working out.
As the headset cord is also the antenna for the radio, the poor jack fit resulted in a constant error message saying "No Radio Signal- Please plug in headphones," even when it was.
There is no "off" button, all the "power" button does is cause a "wake" or a "sleep" state, but power is still being consumed.
It was quickly returned to the store. Don't waste your money.
