Pros It got rid of unnecessary features that nobody was using, because every mobile phone did a better job with the calendar, games, contacts, notes.
navigation is easier
Cons no Speakers/
Summary The new nano concentrates on the features it was designed for and tries to improve this experience. (easier navigation, smaller, lighter)
It got rid of unnecessary features that nobody was using, because every mobile phone did a better job with calendar, games, contacts, notes.
[CNET IS WRONG WHEN IT SAYS THAT IT GOT RID OF THE MIC, THERE IS AN OWN VOICE MEMO APP!!!]
Pros There are other options out there!
Cons Unit is WAY to small. Screen very hard to read and use. Missing the great features of the 5th generation which makes it overpriced.
Summary This is a case of designing something because you can (small touch screen) rather than designing something you should. Note to Apple: make sure the geeks run a design past the marketing guys before you go to the public. Where do I start? Impossible to use at the gym or in the car. This thing is hard to read, hard to use and is sorely lacking in all the great features of the 5th generation. It's a shuffle with a pretty screen. It's way too small and I can just see someone chucking it in the wash with the jeans. The minuscule icons are tough to select if you have big fingers. So annoying to have to constantly look at the screen even to go back to the home screen or to just advance one song. Big swing and a miss from Apple. Save some money and frustration and get the awesome generation 5 or buy another MP3 player. This one is definitely not worth the money.
Pros Decent little mp3 player
Cons Had it in my pocket and took it out and the screen was cracked. So fragile and so expensive.
Summary For the money I would expect this thing to take a bullet for me and keep on ticking. Had it in my pocket for a day moving some stuff around and it came out with a broke screen. Wasn't even using it. For 30 bucks I bought an off brand that has the same capacity and actually plays videos. Won't buy another ipod again.
Pros It is nice to look at and the watch band my husband was talked into buying is sharp...
Cons Unfortunately, my Mother's day gift has been nothing but trouble. The first time I used it, It broke. It was initially repllaced without a problem. The second one lasted for two workouts after I was told that the watchband would keep it safe for my appa
Summary The second time my husband returned the nano he asked if there were any issues that apple was aware of concerning this type malfunctioning when sweat upon. The clerk assured him that myissues must have been a fluke. Pretty shady if you ask me.
Pros As an active runner, you get the privilege of using it ONCE.
Cons You will need to purchase a new unit everytime you decide to run, or hit the gym. Forget it, if it rains on your way to the gym. In such case, you may need to purchase a 10-pack of nanos.
Summary Nano 6th generation is marketed towards an active/runner crowd...so, why is the device unable to sustain any form of moisture???? I mean...it's not like I submerged it underwater with complete utter neglect. It is misleading and false advertisin, if you asked me. I dont want a device to look pretty on my desk. I want a functional device, if im spending 200 bux on it. Hated it. Double hated it. Triple, quadruple and quintuple hated it.
