"Of course it's good, it's an iPod." on by Speed419

Pros: It's an iPod. What else is needed?

    Cons: Wish it had bluetooth.

"I am disapointed, very disapointed." on by adapa3345

Pros: Pretty color display & thin.

Cons: Glitchy, too many menus, MTP format.

Summary: I received my Apple iPod Nano 2GB as a gift. At first I thought, “Wow! Cool, I have a player that everyone is talking about.” I was excited to upload my CD’s, pictures and show it off to my friends. Then I started to play around with it, and used it in the car. I am disappointed with the software, disappointed in the freakish way you use the controls. The thumb/finger rolls over the selection I want every time. This device is not simple to use. iPod’s glitch is when you have to “stop” the song selected or turn off the player while a song is paused by clicking on the menu button until I find the menu with the “sleep” option and then I can “stop” or turn off the player! I’ve had to reset my iPod several times & reload everything back on the device. I have updated the iPod & the process is an annoyance.
I cannot upload the music artwork from the CD’s I own. iPod asks me to visit the iPod store for the artwork. iPod will not display artwork on the iPod unit without following it’s regulations. I feel the pretty color display is wasted on my ordinary purchased CD’s. I feel forced into buying the music I already have just to get an album cover displayed on my iPod.
I want freedom, freedom to manually manage my music without the software asking me if I really want to … Yes! I really want to use this $130.00 device as I wish. The iPod does not allow you to export the music from iPod. I wish I had this ability, even without the 80GB setting aside storage space for transfers.

The iPod is a MTP formatted device, and I wish there were more UMS devices to choose from. It is so much easier to “drag & drop” music in all formats than fuss with multi-menu MTP units and their music format conversions.

    I hate this iPod crap.
