"Podcast playback is frustrating!"
Pros: The new nano is beautiful - I bought the red 8gb one - and I love the screen. Very clear, and feels good in the hand.
Cons: Playback of the podcasts in a group is continuous, from newest to oldest.
Summary: The podcast menu now shows how many episodes are available for each feed. When you select a podcast, the episodes are listed in reverse order, with the newest on top, and there doesn't seem to be any way to sort them chronologically. If you play the top (newest) one, it automatically continues on to the next, but this is annoying because they are playing out of order (backwards in time). I also couldn't find any way to just play one episode and then stop.

I've experienced problems where a previous podcast would start up where I had left off instead of the unseen one I had selected. At first I thought I must have made a slip with the wheel as this 1" model is really taking some getting used to. After it happened twice I made sure that I was selecting the correct file and the problem occurred again. I've also had problems when skipping between songs in an album and the song I want is playing, but the track listed is wrong.

In order to play your favorite continuously without choosing it one by one, you need to create a playlist on iTunes for those podcast. This is the only way I found that works. I hope this helps.
