"Worth The Extra Price...If your a U2 fan" on by paranoidguy
Pros: It's a great addition to any U2 fan's collection
Cons: Same as a regular iPod except for red click wheel and sigs
Summary: Aside from the red click wheel and the signatures on the back, it is identical to the regular 30GB iPod. Great for a U2 collection, but otherwise stick with the regular iPod, unless you absolutely have to have a red click wheel.

"Looks really cool" on by Rahulxp5
Pros: Looks cooler (better dial, all black)
Cons: Bigger price tag
Summary: This ipod is the same as the other 30 gig ipod (updated.
Other than that, it looks really nice. I love the finish and the signatures are pretty cool.
So, unless if you are a huge u2 fan or if you just like the finish and its colors, it really wouldm't be worth it for you. -

"Niiiiccceeeee!!!!!" on by tkdtommy
Pros: Sleek, stylish, fits well in the pockets
Cons: No good recovery option if you forget your combo - have to reset the whole thing. :(
Summary: For you U2 fans out there, it's nicer than the original one....glad I waited. The additional search feature is nice for finding particular titles or groups easily - especially if you're like me with 1,800 songs on the thing already!
It's a great option for those that want something no one else has, but also doesn't need an 80gb that you'll never fill.
Video plays pretty crisp and clean with slight delay initially - but not annoying.
Apple Store is very knowledgeable on the product lineup if you need help with an iPod decision. -
"A really nice device!" on by U2Patsfan
Pros: video playback looks fantastic, free U2 video included, black rear casing is a nice touch
Cons: battery life when watching video, no easy way to replace the battery
Summary: Music on this device sounds fantastic. Video and photos look superb. The device itself is slim and gorgeous. We all know that the battery life when viewing video isn't the greatest (easilly remedied by using a battery pack when away from the charger for long periods of time, Griffen and Belkin make nice, affordable ones) and I personally would apprieciate an easy way to replace the battery. That said this is a great mp3 player.
I would probably give a regular 5th gen. iPod an 8 out of 10 but I'm bumping this one up to a 9 because of the black metal casing and autographs.
