"An awsome Best Buy for MP3 players" on by sachingolhar
Pros: Features, Sound Quality, Song Transfer Rate, Battery Life (for its size)
Cons: Big and Bulky, just overall big
Summary: After having this Gmini 120 for 3 months, I found it to be the best MP3 player out there. While people are saying that Ipods are the best, they are wrowng!!! I took an Ipod apart completly, and IT IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY! The parts are tooo fragile and connections were way too flimsy. Sorry Apple, but Archos has best you on that. Even though the batery life is a little less than an Ipod, this sound machine surely outbeats the Ipod. The great upside to this MP3 player is that it CHARGES BY POWER, not COMPUTER, sorry Apple. I have gained my trust in the Gmini 120 and I will continue to buy Archos MP3 players!!

"complete pile of crap" on by js9970
Pros: storage space
Cons: battery life non-existant
Summary: Two of these units went bad on me. Luckily the first was covered under warranty. The first one's battery died and the unit would not turn on. Sent back to Archos, lost all my data/files. Second one worked fine for about 2 months then it would not hold a charge for longer than 1/2 hour. Purchased a replacement battery from a 3rd party vendor only to discover that it is imposible to take the unit apart to get to the battery (which is soldered in) without destroying the unit. I am very disapointed and will NEVER buy another archose product again.

"Great product...only until it breaks!" on by jstarlem
Pros: Holds A LOT of songs, good sound quaility, withstands a few good drops on the floor
Cons: Heavy and bulky, battery life inadequate, broke after a year, scratches very easily, voice recorder not so good, complicated to use at first
Summary: I first got this player about a year and a half ago and I got a lot of use out of it, but what I wasn't expecting was it to break after only about a year. I would be able to turn it on and listen to a song or two, but then it would shut off randomely. Also, the usb cord that connects to my computer would not locate the hard drive and I thought I lost all of my music, but low and behold, it decided to work 6 months later and plug in, allowing me to transfer all of my music files to my computer, but shut off the moment I try to play a song. Also, the voice recorder did not really work to begin with. I would suggest spending a little more money on an mp3 player that has longer battery life and is not so bulky.

"Great player for the $" on by wmtyrance
Pros: 20 Gigs for low $,Good sound quality
Cons: They all come with crappy earbuds.
Summary: Every con i've read is about the weight. Like 8.6 oz is a ton. Sure others weigh less, but alot of them sound like crap. Ipods are the worse for sound. This thing sounds great and for the $ plus 20 gigs this is a great buy. How great...Half the money you would pay for an ipod. Don't over look this one and save yourself some money for great earbuds.
