"Great for what is intended, playing music!"
Pros: Small, light, looks good, easy to use
Cons: earbuds keep falling out, works best with WMA files
Summary: Thank god I didnt see the other user reviews when I bought this player or I would have missed out on a great product. I wanted a no frills player and i got just that. One thats only slightly larger than a nano with more capacity than a nano.
It frees me up from having to use special software to load files and its so easy to use I didn't even have to read the instructions. I has frozen on me only once but i've reset it by holding down the on button for an extended period,. didnt even have reload anything.
I did figure out that it prefers all the files to be the same format. (I've compressed mine to 64 bit WMA and it seems to be as good as standard mp3 compression) before that it took longer to search for songs and in shuffle mode it would play the same songs over and over. I think it would look for the same format at the same compression.
After seven months I've been very happy other wise. I've managed to squeeze 1200 files on less than 2 megs so there is space to go. yes it doesnt have a colour creen or recorder or video playing but for a compact player why would you want all those features taking up vauable memory? I want music!
I would change the earphones though. doesnt do teh player justice!!
