"Great Upgrade to the Pogo"
Pros: Excellent build quality, logical software,
good reception, nice looks -- 2 GB internal
memory standardCons: Difficult battery replacement like IPOD
Summary: Those who knew and loved the Pogo Radio Your Way LX,
and those who still use it, such as myself, have been
rescued by the Asian manufacturer of the Witness, which
is being sold by CC Crane.
They have improved the build quality, and made it
easier to manipulate the buttons, while including
2 GB internal memory, to which one can add SDHC
memory.
That makes for a very nice combination and
hours and hours of recording capability. Add
to this the multiple auto record function that
has carried on from the old Pogo and you have one
powerful little unit.
The big drawback I can see so far is that
the Witness battery, while accessible, is
difficult to remove. You have to pry open
the case rather than just unscrew some
screws.
Hope they listen to user complaints
about this and modify the design in
the future. CC Crane has posted
full instructions on battery replacement
to their credit.
Also, the Witness requires a 24 pin
connector that is very difficult to
obtain -- although CC Crane says it
can be obtained on the Internet.

cam4000, the battery replacement instructions are here:

Where does it post instructions re battery replacement? I see nothing in the manual. What kind of tool do you use to pry it open? What is the 24 pin connector for? There is a USB cable to connect radio to computer included.
:Hope to see / get a reply to this! Thanks.
