"Maybe a bit short on storage but still good!" on by ahnjihe

Pros: Very durable and easy battery-AA

Cons: only 256mb and battery dries up pretty fast.

Summary: I've had this player for 4 years now
and other than the battery cover part coming off after 4 yrs and the low storage space (256mb-but usually enough for me), this has been a great mp3 player!
It's not fancy or pretty in design, but it's very durable. No problems after 4 years. I won't recommend for the trend-followers, but great for those who prefer strong-and-durable electronics.

"pricey, average mp3 player , bad fm reception" on by pekker

    Pros: small size, good earphones

Cons: battery cover is a joke, no customer service, recording has errors and cannot be turned off unless battery is removed

Summary: this mp3 player is a joke, the sound recording is minimally below average, price is steep. No customer service available except online. This player cannot be dropped as the battery cover is going to be broken. In short, go get another mp3 player that is worth the price!!!

"Great player that never lets you down!" on by goshkos

Pros: sounds awesome, battery life 30-40h on 1AA, plenty of features, cool solid design, lightweight, great voice recording, very good FM reception

Cons: needs special software for downloading/uploading files, no OGG support, nice but not great earplugs included, no in-line recording feature, voice recording in SC4 format, which is not very popular

Summary: I was very very happy with this small piece of equipment from the very beginning I bought it a year and a half ago. It's features are gret. It's with me virtually everywhere - great for jogging, at the gym or for listetnig to music in the street.
Stellar sound quality, very well built - not plastic, and very lightweight at the same time.
As I'm pretty picky about how everything sounds I upgraded the MX400 Sennheiser earplugs that were inclded with the Sony Phontopia EX-71, which have much deeper bass and are the best for the price.
2 thumbs up for this player - you won't regret if you get it!!!

"Love my player, great for the gym" on by jrpower

Pros: Easy to use, great sound, takes a beating

Cons: battery hard to open, goes dormant too fast

Summary: Love my player it was the right price for using just at the gym. I've dropped it numerous times and it still plays great. I love that it came with both a belt clip and an arm band which both serve their purpose for various activities. I've had it for 1.5 years and have had no problems.

    "unknown but great" on

Pros: light weight, very good sound quality, easy software, nice design. if you are not a music hoarder or a sucker for brand names, go for the cowon iaudio. it is perfect for music lovers, especially for music lovers who like to listen on the go. oh, and all o

Cons: earbuds tend to fall out, especiallly when running. if you plan to use this mp3 player on runs, invest in more stable ear phones.
