"small but sexy body, amazing quality sound" on by glut
Pros: most powerfull player for its size and money, unless one feels masochistic to watch video on such a small screen
Cons: NONE so far
Summary: I am dedicated Cowon players user. Got X20L two years ago and love it, functions perfect, easy to drop and organize in folders music files.
So researching for a flash player I naturally came back to Cowon...unlike other vendors Cowon allows you to drag & drop files which is what I love about it. I hate those buggy softwares and loss of sound quality after file compression.
I tried ZenV 4G before Cowon F2 and ZenV went back to shop in two days. Now that I have my Cowon F2 4G baby I will never give it back, it is small but WOW...
Music sound is great, forget IPods...menu is not very friendly however and some other users may hate it, Ipod lovers will never agree to suffering with Cowon menu... but for me Cowon menu is perfect and I am used to it for two years now. File organizing I can do myself and there is ability to create a play list or use Winamp playlists on it although I prefer keeping my music on Cowon in the same order as on my PC.
I am probably different as I could not care less for subscription. Got 150G of music, so there is little need to pay industry buggers an extra buck for limited quality mp3.
All in all, may be my demand to MP3 players is too simple, it just must to be able to play great sound music, be easy to use and allow me transfer files without freaking buggy software (I have creative sound card on PC but its buggy soft kills me often)… and for all of this there is one word: COWONUpdated
i meant X5L 20G player which i bought two years ago, not X20L...

"Can't go wrong with Cowon F2" on by cikr3t5
Pros: Excellent sound quality, Solid build, Bright LCD
Cons: Bottons too small, Menu navigation not easy
Summary: I have owned sony flash player, mpio flash player and creative zen vision m. The only one that came close in terms of sound quality is the Zen vision M but it doesn't have as much sound tweaks as the Cowon F2. This player has a very powerful power output. The bbe, bass boost, and mp enhance is awesome. You can adjust them to your music taste. Very clear, low noise player and very portable. Smaller than I've expected. Used this powerful mp3 flash player with my Etymotic ER4p IEms and the result is out-of this-world sound. I didn't gave it 10/10 because of the tiny buttons.

"Small, Well developed, Great features" on by FURRTech
Pros: Sound, Screen, and build
Cons: Size, battery life
Summary: The Cowon F2 is indeed nice but what makes it not almost perfect? The size and it's battery lfe. Even though Cowon's global site states it has 22hr. You can play music on but it really depends. They tested on default settings and I even tested and I got 22hrs at most. With different settings changed like EQ, Option to brightness&keypad, and even the kbps has to do with it. I recommend though converting all music files to MP3 128kbps with iTunes "You would tleast get 18-21hrs which is what I got.
The size can bother some people. People with big hands could cause a problems but not for me. I like the size. It's perfect.
That's pretty much it reallly.
The screen I yet haven't been able to scratch up yet. I've dropped it a few times and nothing which is wonderful to hear. finger prints I guess is an issues for some as you can see the prints while you turn it towards a downward eagle. All you have to do is rub the tip of your shirt against it softly.
Well, hope this helps and god bless. Your won't be disappointed in buying this. -
