"Great bang for the buck" on by scott_wilder
Pros: LINE IN, level meters, Windows and OS X compatible
Cons: Non-intuitive menu system
Summary: I bought an mp3 player for one thing. To make recordings from the mixing board at my local church. So a line in feature was a must have. The recording quality is good, but not excellent. When I import the recorded file back into my audio editing program; I find that the file distorts before the levels max out. But not a big thing. Just gotta keep your eye on the levels.
Only real complaint I have is that the way the line in jack is positioned makes it hard to insert a 1/8 inch plug all the way in. Easily solved by shaving some plastic away with a razor blade.
Otherwise a great player with lots to offer. 1 gig, line in, and mic in for under $100

"Gotta Love It!" on by gschaps
Pros: Great sound quality, easy to use, good value
Cons: none - I don't need USB2 and FM
Summary: My only regret is that my car stereo lacks an audio input jack. I'd really like to be able to listen to the G2 when we're on the road.

"beautiful ergonomics..." on by ragzi
Pros: ergonomics,1GB at low cost...
Cons: it could have sported a 2,60,000 colour video..
Summary: i am satisfied with the overall look of the iaudio G2..but in today's growing technology an fm tuner, and a video are becoming compulsory if an mp3 player has to sustain competition. The iaudio G2 does not have an fm tuner and i would given it an 11 out of 10 if it would have sported a video like the cowon iaudio U3 considering the low price.. But since the cowon products are always highly priced, taking the price that is 119$ into account,i am sure it will be a good bargain after all for a starting flash player...
