"Nice body, no brains"
Pros: great case, good price, great extra functions, nice onboard recording
Cons: crashes all the time, complicated User Interface, useless random functions, hard to find specific songs, laughable playlist function, quizical firmware updates
Summary: The body of this little tiger is brilliant, sleek and silver. I bought it because it appeared to have a lot of bang for the buck. I think they made some sacrifices in making it smaller than the ipod. While I like the external controls, the postage size screen is quite hard to use. In addition, not being able to plug in the power or usb hook up without an adapter or cradle was a big mistake. I've saved the worst for last, the software for this is abysmal, it crashes all the time, the firmware is hard to update (and it once stopped working when i tried to update it). The playlist is useless. The random play resets and repeats itself (I have 3,000 songs on this, why do I keep hearing the same songs over and over again?). The user interface is beyond confusing, I?m a pretty technically literate guy and every time I pick this up, it's like the first time. Frankly, I wouldn't buy this again.

That problem with the shuffle mode has been fixed. (Very long ago) Firmware Updates are often and contain requested features. This review is not accurate.
