"A great, compact music player!"
Pros: Size, sound quality, drag and drop file copy, supports most file formats
Cons: The case really needs an armband!
Summary: Overall, this is a great little audio player. I spent a lot of time researching players, and decided on the iAudio U2. The size is similar to the iPod Shuffle, but with the U2 you get a DISPLAY so you can see what's going on, plus you get extra audio controls (equalizer, bass boost, etc.) to tailor the sound, an FM radio, a line-in encoder and a microphone voice recorder too! You can even use the U2 as a USB 2.0 flash drive to move files - very handy! The interface is easy to use, and the player supports MP3 , WMA (including protected WMA), and OGG. The player is also flash upgradeable, so new features can be added in the future.
I use Windows Media Player to rip songs from CDs and keep my music organized in folders by artist and album on my PC. To move music to the player, all I have to do is drag and drop folders, which makes loading music very easy! Some players, such as iRiver, require you to use their software to load the player. Other players require all the music tracks to be in a single folder on the player. Not so with the iAudio U2! Just plug it into a Windows 2000 or higher PC, and it shows up as a removable drive. Drag, drop, and go!
The one real gripe I've got is that the case doesn't come with an arm band or a belt clip. Part of the reason I chose a flash player was to use it while running, cycling, etc. The case does have a loop that would allow you to use a belt (who runs while wearing a belt??), but no clip, and no armband. Is this too much to ask?Updated
One other thing - go to the iAudio website and download the PDF manual. There are many advanced features of the player that aren't explained in the manual that comes in the box.

I was just posting to another thread asking for help using the armband for the iAudio U2. When I read your post, I came to the part about the belt loop on the case and thought "what belt loop?" -- aha! It is so unobtrusive, I didn't see it. Now I know how to attach the device to my armband! Thank you!
