"Recommended, just be prepared to pay for better headphones"
Pros: Versatile, feature-packed, very easy installation and use
Cons: Atrocious earbuds
Summary: I'm quite satisfied with the player. The arsenal of features packed into the diminutive package is very impressive. The player does lots of things (including doubling as a mass storage device), fits anywhere, is easy to use (if you run Win XP, you don't even need to install the bundled Creative software; just plug it into a USB port and upload away), and is very gym rat friendly (owing to its size, the fact that it is a flash player with no moving parts and the fact that there is an armband included in the package).
I recommend this product with one caveat: the included earbuds are abysmal. They actually sound decent at first but mine stopped working properly after one week when the left earbud died on me. From reading others' opinions, this is not an isolated case.
I'm not fazed, even though having to buy new headphones does diminish the bang-for-the-buck factor. I had planned to replace the earphones anyway given their big, awkward design and their colour (white), which makes them look like iPod rip-offs thereby making the people wearing them look, to some degree, like posers.
