"Muvo Slim is PHAT on features" on

Pros: Design, the sound quatlity is great, i likes the custom eq, voice recorder is handy, software is a snap to use just drag and drop very accesible controls ( to the person who can't find the fast-forward button just hold over the skip track button to the di

Cons: Software won't let me convert my mp3's into wma's or the other way around, battery conver is a little tricky to put on, needs usb cable to charge, but no big deal.

    "very convenient player" on

Pros: usb charging is convenient, never had a problem with battery life even when not charging regularly. handy size and sturdy case make it good to use to transport documents as well.

Cons: would have liked an easier way to switch from mp3 mode to radio and voice recording than scrolling through the menu. Need a manual to explain some menu functions.

"LOVE EVERYTHING EXCEPT BATTERY COVER" on

Pros: Small design is excellent to carry in pocket or purse. Volume is great and radio reception is okay. I have 512MB so it can play for a long time.

Cons: Having to charge through USB and Battery cover! I thought I was going to break it when I first got it. I just recently got it so I don't see many flaws.

"Superior Sound, bad battery cover" on

Pros: I bought this from J&R for 99.88. I actually got it in light blue, which looks really nice. I did a lot of research for a solid mp3 player, and I think I got a good one here. The sound is excellent for such a small player. I have professional 'pho

Cons: Now, the only downside: the battery cover sucks. Someone posted that the cover gave way after 14 days, mine did after 4 days. it actually cracked in half, and almost lost the battery ($30 battery!) in the process. If that happens, don't waste time tryi

"Good... while it isn't broken!!" on by mojoRT

Pros: Excellent sound and battery life

Cons: Very poor durability (even with case), poor FM tuner reception, Cheap case

Summary: I've had this MuVo Slim player just over 4 months when it started to shutdown automatically when playing my MP3s. The player plays FM radio and recordings fine; but when it tries to play any MP3 song, it completely stops and freezes. My MuVo player has always been in it's cheap protective case, and I've never dropped it or abused it. I am to believe that this player is poorly designed and equipped with cheap components (how could can they be?).

Also, the headphones that come with this player are horrible (they're too big). I had to get new ones to compensate for this.

    --- IMPORTANT TO KNOW ---

In addition, creative technical support is WAY less than helpful. The 1 year limited warrantee stated on the back does garranty your player to be free of manufacturers defects; but after 3 months from your purchase, you have to pay $40 USD ... either for labour or for parts (I can't remember). It's NOT free... which makes me think that Creative knows their products die after 3 months and want to make more money off the customer.
